What we do
Confined Space Monitoring
The need for Confined Space work gives rise to a wide variety of hazards that must be overcome to ensure the safety of the worker and in the worst case may lead to the need for a rescue to be carried out under the most difficult of circumstances.
Your responsibilities as an employer include ensuring adequate training, working practices, risk assessments, equipment and rescue services.
One of the most important roles in your working team is your ‘Entry Controller’. This individual is responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety of all those inside the confined space
- Ensuring that communications are maintained within the team
- Summoning assistance from the emergency services if required
- One option is to train your own staff for this role. But on a large project you may need a team of entry monitors across the site. Another solution is to bring in Guardian Site Solutions.
