What we do
What are the dangers of working in a confined space?
The 1997 Confined Spaces Regulations define a Confined Space as "any place including a chamber, tank, vat, silo, pit, trench, pipe, sewer, flue, well or any similar place in which by virtue of its enclosed nature there arises a reasonably specified risk".
Some of the dangers posed from working in confined spaces such as these are obvious, but equally dangerous are hazards such as poor ventilation and hot conditions.
Confined Space Hazards
We have created a poster and booklet that tells you more about the potential hazards of working in a confined space which can be downloaded from the site.
If you would like copies of the A3 posters to put up in your workplace, please contact Darren Schofield on 01469 577 675.
