Rescue Service
Depending on the risk assessment, rescue services may also need to be provided to the work site.
By having a fully trained confined space rescue team on site in case of an emergency, no time is lost performing the rescue. Depending on the conditions or logistics of the site it may be difficult or impossible for the emergency services to perform a rescue.
Guardian Site Solutions can provide, through a third party, a fully trained emergency rescue service.
An employer was fined £10,000 after a worker died from asphyxiation during the refurbishment of a milk evaporation plant. He was overcome with fumes from the welding process in a confined space. (HSE)
